WORX WG309
Bad day today. Was cutting some logs and got the chain between a "Y" which stopped the chain with a sudden stop and then heard some weird noises coming from the saw. When I took it apart I found out that the big nylon gear behind the cover you see in the picture got stripped.
Tried finding a new one but didn't and they are also discontinued. Even though the chainsaw broke down, there is no shame for this chainsaw. Had it for many years and cut tons of wood with it. To bad it crapped out now. Still have to finish up what I was cutting and two other that are pretty big.
If you happen to have this chainsaw and its pretty much junk, I'd buy that nylon gear off of you if it's in good shape.
Chances of me finding that gear, new or used is probably pretty slim to none. My only other option I guess is to buy a new chainsaw, but this time I think I'm going to go with an 18" rather than a 10" The biggest thing about going with an 18" is that it's not a pole saw, were the 8" was. Even though the 8" is a pole saw... it was really heavy on the end of the pole! Guess I'll just have to use a ladder if I get an 18"
