WOW! Did a lot of running around this past weekend. Saturday got up, did a few things around the house then went to get fireworks for the 4th of July, which we will celebrate on the 6th off July.
That was little over an hour's trip one way, so it came out to about 2.5 to 3 our trip all together. Then of course this past Saturday was so stinking hot outside didn't help matters.
Then on Sunday pretty much did the same thing when I got up, then went to a family get-to-gather which was another 2.5 to 3 hours round trip again. But I guess it was worth it being we had brisket to eat! Needless to say, it was really good.
I'm planning to try making a smoked brisket before summer is over. Just hate to think of messing it up being they are so expensive, but everyone says they are pretty easy to do. The worst part is the time smoking which can be up to 10 hours or more depending on the size of the brisket.
Anyways.... guess I'll find out when I try doing mine.
